hi , I have a problem on my 84 goldwing, just all of a sudden one cyl quit firing. I changed the plug , I have spark, No change , I think it might be a fuel problem just not sure. Any ideas Thanks in advance. Ray

Because it uses wasted spark (one coil fires two cylinders), you will never lose one cylinder from spark failure - you'll lose two. The only exception to this is if the plug is failed shorted. You've already changed the plug, so you've eliminated that.

The next item, of course, is fuel. Is the plug in the non-firing cylinder wet with fuel after the engine runs? If not, then no fuel (and/or air) is getting to it.

Just went back and realized you've got a GL1500 - I thought I had read GL1200. I don't know if the GL1500 uses wasted spark or not - so you might want to check 100% that you've got spark on that cylinder.

Hi Wing, Yes it is my gl1200 sorry about the confusion. I do have a 2000 goldwing 1500se. yes it does have spark and after running it, the plug is not wet. thanks, Ray
