The only thing I've ever heard of that will cause this is a stuck or incorrectly adjusted carburetor float valve. If it's stuck, or adjusted so that it's too open, it will allow gas to flow constantly into the cylinder, and will eventually make its way through into the crankcase. It's a bad condition, both because it gas washes the cylinder and removes the oil film lubrication, which will cause the cylinder wall and/or rings to wear prematurely, as well as dilute the oil and reduce lubrication for the rest of the engine.

Thank,s a heap WingAdmin You got Me pointed in the right direction, Pulled the carbs again lowered the float tangs ran it for an hour and only gained 8oz.s of gas in the crankcase instead of flowing out the dipstick hole. Getting pretty good at pulling the carbs off HARHAR! noboby in this neck off the woods can hook me up with a float height guage all trial and error. Will lower the tangs 3 or 4 mm. wedsday and see what gives, Anyway thanks again friend.

Hi Dan, greetings from OZ!
Just scrolling through the posts and came across yours.
I'm not familiar with the '85 fuel system as I have a '75, and assuming they haven't changed much,
another thought/possibility, is if it has a mechanical fuel pump there may be a hole in the diaphragm
causing fuel to run in via the camshaft drive???. :?:
Good luck with it and hope you get it sorted

Pedro
