The markings are cast in the plastic housing, but still could be back-asswards

If where the red and red/white wires are connected are not where they should be we would have to either posh the wires out of the connector to the correct position or cut and solder the wires.
It seems to me if that were the case we would be better off trying to obtain the correct solenoid if possible

If the one that was on it was an aftermarket it may have already been rewired, as I said earlier. Real easy to check, as described earlier.The wires are easy to get out of the connector, there are small slots beside the terminals you push a small tool into to release the clip, there is one made for that, a dental pick or tiny screwdriver. You do have the correct one.
