85 LTD Idle Quality

Postby mtfm » Mon Dec 13, 2010 7:26 pm

My LTD runs very well and very smooth at speed. When it is warmed up and at idle it lopes like it has higher lift cams. I mean it really talks to you ! Is this normal for the C.F.I. engine, or should it be silky smooth?

Happy Holidays !

When engine has warmed up, idle is 1000 rpm. on occasion it will drop to 980

Thanks

The LTD doesn't have thr problem of four carbs to sync, but it does have two throttle bodies (port and starboard) that may need to be adjusted. Just hook up your guages and there is one screw on the right side to align the two sides.
