What method did you use to bleed the brakes?

Did you inject fluid into the bleeder with it, or suck air out of it?

Either way will work. Are the pads moving at all when you pump the pedal - i.e. are the pads right up against the disc?

Oh, wait - just realized you've got an 88, with linked brakes. Did you bleed the front as well as the back?

That's your problem for sure, then. The linked braking system has a very specific bleeding procedure in order to bleed both the front and rear brakes.

You first bleed the rear caliper, then bleed the front right caliper. It's a good idea to go back and re-bleed the rear again, then the front right again to ensure you've purged all air bubbles from the system.
