Speedometer and odometer not working

Postby SAILOR » Fri Jan 07, 2011 12:34 am

My digitial speedometer always reads zero, and the odometer doesn't move either. Any thoughts on whether or not this can be fixed?

My interstate has a mechanical spedo drive off the left side of the front wheel.Doesn't the aspy have a pulse(electrical)mechanism in the same place? If so,look at the wiring to it and verify by rotating the tire that it does work.Mine quit and i found the tabs inside were bent and not rotating with the tire.Just a minor clean,lube,re-align.Hope this helps.Virgil
