rickyfifer : The red bar under the tach is your red line indicator as far as not having all 4 numbers on your tech probably a bad display. I will have to find the manual and see what the top rpm,s are may be listed cant remember. By the way both my great grand parents were from Scotland, (Aberdeen) welcome and good luck. Hal from southern Indiana P.S. if you cant find the radio manual try goldwing chrome web site they have audio and wiring specs.

Yes the key lock to the left of your radio is a lock to keep some one from sealing your radio if you put your key in it you can turn it and remove the whole radio by just pulling it out. If your radio is not working you can send it to sierra electronics they will fix for a good price $ 100.00 Hal

max rpm 7500 and your tach may be faulty, is it showing 200 instead of 2000 rpm? to save a radio station press the memory botton then press one of the preset buttons. welcome to GWD rickyfifer

If I remember correctly the red line under the tach begins to flash as you approach rpm limit.
