driving lights

Post by daljaz » Thu Feb 24, 2011 5:56 pm

My '84 Aspencade has accessory driving lights and light bar. There is only one wire going to each light. Is this wire the hot wire and if so how are the lights grounded? I can not get them to work. The bulbs test good. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for these lights. It appears the brand is Hella or something like that. Thanks

If your talking about the rear lights on light bar the one wire running from the add on light switch is the hot positive wire the bar lights should have another going to ground somewhere on the frame. I have a 84 & 85 aspey. the bar lights and extra front running lights are wired to separate switches that get there power from the accessory fuse box. Good luck Hal

I agree with Hal there may be a inline fuse as u may want to look for that as well. the best way to ck. for a bad ground bolt a wire on ground and touch light bar in a clean sopt of bare metal
