temp gauge

Temp gauge not working. what should I look for? 84 1200 asp

maybe its something simple , lose wire at the sending unit , or bad sending unit , some 1 will be along shortly with better info , good luck

Does the fuel gauge work? If not check the 7v supply to these gauges. My 85 and 86-A don't have the 7v supply. I think Wingman is familiar with this.
Enjoy the ride. They are all good, just some better than others.

Remove the wire from the temp gage and ground it. The gage, if working will peg to the high side. If not, then it maybe a broken temp wire or then the gage. That is if your fuel gage is working right. If not then I would aggree that the voltage regulator for the dash is bad.

Yes fuel gauge does work. will do some investagating this weekend. Thanks for info.
