Brake/turn signal fuse blowing(15amp)

Postby rascal » Wed Sep 23, 2009 9:48 pm

Turn signals work as they should, but when hand brake of foot brake is applied the fuse blows.
Have replaced the hand brake sensor the one with the two small wires. If I unplug it and tap the
foot brake the fuse blows, if I unplug the foot brake and replug the hand brake the fuse blows.
Have checked for bare spots from fuse box down, found nothing, no kinked wires or mashed wires.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Time to think about where the two have common parts. The first place that comes to mind: Brake lights. Have a look at the brake light assembly and see if the brake line back there is shorted out.
