I have a GL1200 Aspencade that has been sitting for 10 years. what would be a cleaner to use for the fuel system and injectors?

If it's been sitting for ten years, you're probably going to have to do a bit more than use a cleaner. But that said, if you want to give it a try, Seafoam is an excellent product that works well and won't harm anything.

I would highly suggest you replace the timing belts before attempting to start this bike if it has sat for ten years. Failure of a timing belt (and there's a fair chance of that) can destroy the engine.

i would also suggest removing the 4 spark plugs and pouring parafin or some kind of penetrating oil in the bores in case you have some surface rust in the cylinders, it will make turning the engine over easier the first time. I would also suggest trying to turn the engine over by hand the first time, if something is stuck the starter motor could break it as it's quite strong!! Then if it rotates by hand use the starter motor to crank it a bit (Without the spark plugs) to create some pressure in the lubrication system (Do change the engine oil before attempting any of the above) then put the plugs back in and try to start (Probably will need some easy start as I suspect the carbs will be gummed up after 10 years!).

Good luck.

Regardless of whether it has injectors or carbs, after 10 years they will be gummed up unless someone went to the trouble of draining the fuel system before putting the bike away!! This does happen occasionally (someone draining the fuel system), but it's pretty rare.. :P

Regarding your question about fuel injectors, if it is an 86 sei, then yes it is injected.
