Headset Cables

Postby WINGRIDER345 » Thu Apr 21, 2011 9:26 pm

I bought the J&MCB2003 and the J&MHS8154 head set and the cables do not match. Anyone know where I can get a helmet cable that will fit? :|

And anyone who has bought multiple sets of headsets from the same manufacturer will have spares. I have two sets of IMC, the full helmet ones and the half helmet ones, and now I have four cables. Sorry that they are IMC and not J&M, because I would send you one.

Thanks... The problem I'm having is none of the headset cords mention that cb unit in the description. When I bought the cb it said universal to fit any bike but did say that it required a spacific headset. Any thoughts on this problem, does anyone have a setup like on their bike? :( :?:

What I ment to say, is that the cb unit did not specify a particular head set that had to be used. :?

Okay, I found this on the J&M products pages for the CB2003

Important Note: The JMCB-2003 is a J&M 6-pin audio system that requires the pre-amplified microphone signal provided by our Dual-Mode (ECD/ICD/BCD/CD prefixed) helmet headsets along with the #HC-ZJM or #HC-PJM lower section hook-up cord (please see the headset/helmet pages). The URLs to each of these follows: (note: replace the hxxp with http, or just copy paste from www to end)

hxxp://www.jmcorp.com/ProductDetail.asp ... C-ZJM&PF=8

hxxp://jmcorp.com/ProductDetail.asp?Pro ... -PJM&PF=12

The ZJM is an 8 pin cable, selling for $70 and the PJM is a 6 pin cable selling for $25. I personally would go for the PJM

The CB unit you bought states that it requires a different headset than the one you purchased. As shown above in the important note, it needs the (ECD/ICD/BCD/CD prefixed) helmet headset, as well as the lower section hook up cord.

Well as it turns out, I could not find a matching cable so I bought a new headset. If any one wants or needs a J&M 5-pin headset I have it on e-bay at a discount. It's new and has never been used. :D
