wiring for a trailer

has anyone out there ever wired there 87 aspencade for trailer lights, i need some pointers

I'd use an isolator, which you can find at pretty well any hardware, automotive or trailer store. Most of them come with instructions on wiring it using that particular isolator.

that helps some, but i need tips on how to wire it up for a trailer

The "5 to 4 wire converter" will come with the connectors and wiring and instructions. You will just need to identify and splice into the wiring for the tail light, brake light, right and left signal lights and ground.

for under 20 dollars at wal-mart, the 5 to 4 pigtail adaptor has color coded instructions to fix it. Many cars with amber turn signals must use this type of connection
