bleeding the brakes

Postby PainParty » Thu May 12, 2011 4:51 pm

While bleeding the front brakes on my 1984 GL1200, I get fluid on one side, nothing but air on the other side. What's up with that?

You are aware that one side of your front brakes is actuated by the brake lever, and the other side by the brake pedal, right? Are you attempting to bleed them both from the lever by any chance?

I am trying to bleed both sides using the front brake lever...didn't know to do otherwise. I'll try the bleeding the other side with the foot pedal. Thank you so much.
