throttle sensor

HI to all out there. I have a 1985 limited edition goldwing and since clymer doesn't give me the info i need I turn to you all. Question... Does any one know how to test the throttle sensor on this bike? what is the proper resistance between open and closed throttle.THANKS DON

Here's what the LTD service manual supplement says:

Throttle Sensor
Input voltage: 4.75-5.25 volts
Sensor resistance (R-G leads): 4-6 KOhms
Output voltage with 2.9mm guage: 0.475-0.495V
