85 GL1200A Saddlebag

Postby joew7139 » Sat Jun 18, 2011 3:36 pm

Will the saddlebags from the 85 Aspencade interchange with the saddlebags from the 85 Interstate?
How would I go about researching this if no one here knows?

They LOOK the same on the parts diagrams (check the "OEM Parts" at http://cyclemax.com to see yourself). However, the Aspencade part number (for the right lower, in this case) is 81210-MG9-930Zx (the "X" varies depending on color) and the Interstate part number for the same part is 81210-MG9-690Zx. It's possible the only difference between the two is a badge or other garnish that would warrant a different part number, and both would fit equally well into the same place - and that would probably be my guess based on the diagrams I saw - but I can't say that for sure.

Thanks for the reply. I also looked it up on a parts website and it looks like it will work. Once again thanks for the reply.
