I have an1985 Interstate - starts right up when cold. Seems to be a little more difficult to start/starter stalls when warm. Really has not been an issue until today. I stopped after a 2 hr ride, came back after 40 min and foolishly flooded carbs. Cranked OK 1st time, then starter seemed to stall and batt was wasted. Waited another 20 min and jump started bike to get home. Put the bike on charger - started right up after 6 hours, but engine was cool. Cranked very well and restarted OK after running 10 min. Battery cells are full and voltage reads 12.5 v with no load. Hadn't started bike for 2 weeks as it seems to rain every day I'm off. I'm wondering why it is more difficult to start when warm. And, should I look towards the starter or another electrical problem. Batt was replaced last summer and spent the winter on a Batt Tender.
Any help would be appreciated, TIA,

I have the same problem on my 84. Mine is the starter and I have a rebuild kit on the way going to do it while I change my head gaskets. The starters get worn out and aren't very hard to rebuild. There is a post in the how to articles here that is a big help. Rebuild kit is only $ 30 on ebay. Just make sure you check that the kit you get is for your 85 my 84 is different.
