1986 GL1200 Aspencade Oil checking

Post by kent51369 » Thu Jun 30, 2011 8:50 pm

I recently bought my Aspencade and I don't have an owner's manual. I know this sounds like a stupid question but where do I check the oil on this blasted thing? Also, does anyone have a link to a free download owner's manual? This site sends me to a link to buy one.

Lower right engine block just to the left of the foot brake pedal is a dipstick that screws in. Honda stopped all sites from offering free downloads for manuals.

Yes right side the lower smaller cap. And do not screw in the dip stick for correct level. You might have to remove an aftermarket cover to see the oil fill cap. I have that and it covers my filler cap on my SEi but you can get to the dip stick without removing the aftermarket side cover.
