It could be. Have a look at this thread: Front-end wobble

okay, wobble is common but isn't supposed to be there. The quest begins. For now the condition keeps me from speeding. A newbie needs some stop gaps. ;) Thanks for the link.

The wobble is not normal and does acure between 30 and 40mph, with that I would say steering stem bearings. At the higher speeds I would say tire balance either front or rear. But could also be swingarm bearings or a very bad case of steering stem bearings.. The forks may have unequal fluid leval also tire pressure is key. There is a few things to check.
It's not what you buy, it's what you build.

left fork is leaking. Oil on left brake pads also. Just ordered pads, seals and a pair of timing belts from saber. I will balance the front tire at the same time. the 500.00 fixer upper continues to be fixed up. :D

Today was very satisfying. I left the forks on and pulled the tubes. Left dust seal had allowed water and dirt to enter and damage the main seal. That was a easy fix with the fork seal sticky. The 1 1/2 PVC pipe in half trick worked great. Now for the reason there was a wobble. Someone pimped out this machine by adding every piece of chrome and guards avail. The bolts holding the fork center brace had loosened due to an accessory mounting bracket under the brace. Cliff de-pimped his ride. I red loctited everything. I brought the tire to be balanced and found that it was already perfect. I had no problem going 85 after the repair. ;)
