hot engine

Hi,After driving bike for 1/2 hr with engine hot ,stop and sw of engine then go to start engine again ,engine will not start ,till left for about 20mins then it will start.This is a 1200gl ldt ed GW 1985,if you can help,thank you .dave :)

Not sure if the LTD has Pulse Generators but that is a symptom when they fail on Interstate or Aspencade models

Crank shaft angle sensor, it may be getting hot and breaking contact.
A little 'Freeze Mist' on the part in question, it will cool the component down and the bike will start.
