pulse sensor

Post by vettstir » Mon Aug 01, 2011 8:11 pm

I have a 1985 aspencade with no spark. I've checked about everything and am now at the pulse sensor, testing the sensor i have about 253 ohms on it, the book says 293-300+, my question then i guess is should i get something out of this or is the ohms to low to work. thanks all.

The part is out of spec and will not function correctly.
It is subjected to a lot of heat and over time they do go bad.

On my 87, there are 2 of them that run thru the same 4 connector harness. One of mine was completely open causing it to stall randomly by losing spark. replaced the set and it cured the problem.

has anyone experienced backfiring when these pulse sensors start failing?
