Does anyone have an idea of what the weight of a loaded GL1200 Aspencade would be. The seller of this bike to me said it was about 1200 lbs., I can't believe it would be so heavy. Any ideas? Thanks, Ralph

Just last week, I took my '87A to the scales. Really wanted to weigh my trailer, but went ahead and checked the bike while I was there. The bike, with two helmets in the trunk, empty left saddlebag and numerous miscellaneous tools in the right, weighed in at 880 lbs. Had approx 1/2 tank of fuel. Hope this helps...

That's about right with rider and pillion included. I rolled across a truck scale a couple of weeks ago with a nearly full tank in my '85 LTD, and both me and one of my daughters on board. She's pretty small, but I'm not quite so much. The scales registered in 50 lb increments, and displayed 1200 with us on it.
