"It´s a friggen motorcycle, it´s not supposed to be comfortable, quiet or safe. The wind noise is supposed to hurt your ears, the seat should be hard and riding it should make you s**t your pants every now and then. "

You can go to the following website and download a FREE PDFs version of a Haynes manual. Not as good as a paper copy but it's free.

I would recommend BOTH the clymers and the Haynes manual

The Clymer's Manual has several coloured wiring diagrams ( so very useful if you are trying to track a short )

while the Haynes ( the free one ) has some processes that are not done in the Clymers...like re-building the slave brake cylinders ...(Clymers says leave this to a dealer !!! )

and they both have different pics of the same process.... Which is worth reading before you start any big projects... like doing a water pump, say....LOL

So I have and USE both !

I use both Clymer and Honda Factory service manuals.
I too like the color electrical schematics and the Honda Factory manuals for their information

I've seen/used all three, and of the Clymer, Haynes and OEM Honda, the only one I still use today is the Honda.

You might want to have a look at How to remove and replace your water pump - it's showing a GL1100, but the vast majority of it is going to be the same on your bike.
