This may help.Is it carb or a sei fuel injected? The carb type fuel pump won't have any power to it untillthe engine is cranking over,so if there is also no spark, there won't be any fuel.

Well, My brother and I have switched out the fuel pump on his '84 Trike. This machine has 100k miles on it, and the other pump was letting fuel leak down to the crankcase if shutoff valve was not being closed when Wing was shut down . . . I mean a full tank leaking down!

Anyway, we have this one bolted on, gas lines on, confidently wired in, but no gas comes through! I guess maybe pump is not all that was faulty. Guessing that fuel pump relay needs checked out, but having trouble locating.

I think I found the fuel pump relay in front of the fuse box, on right side, about 3 layers down.
Is that it?
Does it have enough slack, once it's rubber boot is released from the tab to pull it out to unplug relay . . . from top or bottom . . . Or do I need to remove the whole tank pod cover housing?

Can you tell me if this the relay I am searching for?

All help appreciated!

The posting above with picture and schematic may be just what I need, but it is too small and fuzzy to make anything out. The only thing I can read is Fuel Pump Relay, because it is in large letters. I can make the picture larger, but it all get fuzzier. :0(

You can right click on the image and "save to" your desktop. From there, open it in MS Paint. The picture is very readable.
If that fails, goto the "manuals"section and download the closest pdf manual for your year bike. You'll find the same directions in there.

Click on the image, and it will pop up the full-size image (same thing goes for just about any image embedded in a message here).
