No voltage to fuel pump on 1984 GL1200 Aspencade

Postby Sunnyriver » Fri Nov 20, 2009 10:11 am

I just bought a 1984 Goldwind GL1200 Aspencade. There is no voltage to the fuel pump when starting or running. I ran 12 volts direct to fuel pump and it runs fine. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

First I would check the obvious - do you have any fuses burned out?

Next, I would download the GL1200 1985 Electrical Troubleshooting Manual and follow the steps in it.

Thank you very much. The manual did the trick.

What turned out to be the problem?
