frt. fork coil spring

Postby dan1951 » Wed Sep 28, 2011 12:59 pm

I know this is a no brainer for You guys, I disassembled the frt. forks on My 85 1200a and cleaned every thing up about three weeks ago, Got sick and can not remember if the close windings on lower spring ( long spring )go into the tube first or it faces upward. The manual I have does not have a decent picture of the spring. Any help from someone would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

My book shows tighter winding to bottom. Honda Service manual says tappered end to bottom.
Hope this helps.
Enjoy the ride. They are all good, just some better than others.
