Front Brake Lines

Postby Omega176 » Wed Dec 30, 2009 9:28 am

Hi Gents: I am bleeding the front callipers after a rebuild on an 87 GL1200 Aspencade. The problem is that the left one bled perfectly but the right calliper isn't getting any fluid to it at all. I'm assuming that there is a blockage in the line somewhere. Strange that the left one is getting fluid but not the right. I have removed the oil bolt to check fluid flow and there isn't any! There is pressure at the brake lever. I can't seem to find any reference to a three way splitter like the 1000 and 1100. Any advice would be appreciated

The right front caliper is connected to the rear caliper and the master cylinder for the two is under the right side cover below the seat.
Bleed the right front first then the rear

You can purchase speed bleeders so you can do the job simply or use a brake bleeder.
