gps

Hello all,
I know someone out there has figured how to get the gps voice prompts to come thru the ear phones without buying expensive blue tooth head set.
I have been told to get the gps with blue tooth and an I phone, buy the app from garmin and sinc the two together.
The I phone has a line out for adapter to the cassette player, but I'm not sure it will go thru the headphones. any help is greatly appreciated.
Bill

I'm actually working on a product right now that will do exactly this. It's plug-and-play for GL1500 and GL1800 bikes. PM me if you would like more info.

I did this on my 1100,and it was very easy. That means it probably wont work for the 1500. My GPS (tomtom go630) has a 3.5mm output jack that I wired to a 5pin DIN plug that I plugged into my passenger headset cable, I ride solo 99% of the time. I leave the intercom on and it talks to me like is was my passenger. total cost under $5, time about 30 mins. to find all the bits and tools. works great. If you dont have audio out on your GPS then ....................
Ride safe, Todd
Over night campers welcome
