1988 gl1500.I don't like her music

Well it's true.Just how many times can you listen to the same song ???
This is what I did to solve that and still maintain the intercom function.
At the rear, just before the headset jack,I added a simple relay and switching circuit.
With a push of a button, the relay will switch the audio from her mp3 player to her headset.
I also tapped a wire to the radio intercom mute circuit and fed it to the switching transistor. When the intercom is active,it simply clicks off the relay and attaches her headset to the bike again.
Here's the preliminary,and tested circuit.
Aw poo,I just realized that I've drawn the audio pinout wrong on one side.I'll post another pix.

Ok,here's the proper wiring.Obviously I'll use a 3.5mm jack on the bike for the mp3 player she will be using.

I'll know for sure this weekend. I just prepped the circuit today at work. It should tho. It's just a automatic switch.the only other consideration may be a small cap across the speaker terminals if there is a switching pop from the coil.I'll post the results

Ok,finished the mod.Works perfect,as far as I'm concerned.Obviously there is a abrupt audio cut off when the intercom is used rather than the 80% muting when attached to the bikes system.
Here's the pix and a test video.Wiring is straight forward.and the input jack uses the relay ground as the common ground.
Please note:This is built for my 1988 gl1500's radio system. If your radio is different you may need to compensate for wiring difference.
I'm using the radio for the 12 volts, common ground and mute switching. The mute line goes to 6 volts when active.Plenty to operate a transistor.
Here's the pix and video
