Head sets

Good morning...just wondering what you think of the J&P intercoms . I'm shopping around for 2 sets . One for a 3/4 helmet and one for a Scorpion half helmet.

I think you mean headsets, not intercoms. Anyway, I have used J&M products for more years than I care to mention! Only had one problem w/a cord back when they were one piece and it was replaced for free even though it was long out of warranty!
Good source is http://www.sierra-mc.com/ Their prices are always lower than MSRP and Wayne is very knowledgeable on all aspects of bike audio systems.

No, I do mean J&M! Look at the sight I posted above and peruse the J&M headset section. You will find several "levels" and applications of J&M headsets. I always use the "top of the line" models. They transfer the music tone the best.
The midrange headsets are good for intercom and CB use, not as good as the Elites for music.

For a half helmet, or no helmet, I use the IMC headset HS-G45 for half helmet. It wraps around the back of your head and over your ears. It works very well. On the website it shows model HS-G140 but when you mouse over it shows GS-45 complete kit. There is an 800 number so you can call to be sure you are getting the right headset/lower cord combo.

You can order direct or I think Sierra carries them.
The only problem I encountered was the weight of the cord pulled an internal connection loose, the set was replaced under warranty. Now I use a cable tie and epoxy to secure the cable to the mike boom to relieve the strain. Maybe the new model corrects this.
This headset will not fit under the storm curtain if you use one on your half helmet.
Hope this was helpful.
