saddlebag light problem

Postby f105d » Sun Apr 08, 2012 11:32 am

I have a 1999 goldwing 1500 and the left side saddlebag lights do not work. all the bulbs are good and it appears there is no power to the light strip. all other lights work. does anyone have a suggestion as to what the problem is?

I've got a 88 and it had electroluminescent lighting in both bags.I'm not sure what your's are but the inverter and connectors are mounted behind the right tail light on the bag .I'd be starting there.

I recently had the same issue...lost everything on the left side.
turned out that the plug on the harness for that portion had worked itself partically lose and lost contact....reconnected it and no further problems.

oldnco.....still not working but i have been so busy that I haven't had the time to really get into it. every other light on the bike is working so it has to be in the supply wire to that strip of lights.
