Lost battery cover 95 Aspy

Post by rexles » Mon Apr 16, 2012 7:36 pm

Went on a Patriot Guard mission to Columbus OH today and lost my battery cover.
Looks like a new one from Honda is $283 or so. Anybody ever use the chrome aftermarket covers?
Or where to get a used one R-176C color?
I looked on E bay but realy didn't see any.

Wingstuff has both Chrome colored and uncoated so you can paint it to match. I believe they are ADD-ON brand. Not to hard to paint for the Aspy as they don't have the decal on them that gives the 2 tone design the SE has.
It seems people had problems keeping them on the pre '95 models, even then, Add on seemed to make good. I don't know if Wing Stuff or ADD-ON are sponsers here or not. If not they ought to be!!
Seems like the price is $119 for a set. Same thing on stealbay is close to $175.
I lost the battery cover on my grape juice colored '95 SE, so some day soon I'll be ordering the chrome set. There was a used one on ebay that was the right color and it went for over $130.
Let us know how it fits if you get a set.

Time for some of Rudy's Panel Keepers. Well actually too late but maybe for next time. Crazy what Honda wants for a piece of plastic.

Keep checking e-bay. They come up all the time. Just look for one that has all of the pins. You can find matching paint from Color Rite. Also if you haven't already done so, now would be a good time to replace the rubber grommets that hold the side covers onl.
