specs

I just purchased a 1999 GL1500SE. It is some miles away, and I need to transport it home. I was wondering how long is it overall, and how tall with suspension at lowest. Previous owner doesn't want to measure it for me.

You just purchased the exact bike I want! What color is it? :)

I'm sure someone will be along here shortly to help you out.

Sorry gunner, can't help '83 Interstate here. Can't help asking though Wing Admin, as I suspect you'd be making a pretty well informed decision - why that exact model?

I'd like an SE with the clear lenses, and the improved seats that came with the 1998's. 2000's had the black face instruments, which I wouldn't mind, but for some reason they seem to have a premium on their prices still. I figure 99 is a pretty good medium, and there seems to be quite a few of them around.

I just got a 2000 SE with only 18,000 miles to replace my 97 Aspencade that was going to cost more to fix than it was worth. You're right, they are getting premium prices (especially with low mileage) but I couldn't be happier. I had an 08 1800 ABS for a year in between and learned to really hate it.

Thanks to all. By the way, it's Mercedes Green in color.
