radio fader

Postby josua60 » Mon May 28, 2012 10:18 am

I just purchased an aftermarket radio mount for my 1988 GL. Does anybody have the schematic for the stock fader control? Where does it connect to the stock radio? I have the service manual diagram but it doesn't really show the fader hookup. I have a Pioneer unit and want to use the stock Honda fader control. Much easier to use.

The stock fader is not complicated at all - it's a set of ganged 10K audio taper pots that are hooked into the speaker outputs of the radio. I'll paste the audio circuit diagram, with a few enlargements that should get you pointed in the right direction:

Appreciate it. My service manual is for a 1990 GL1500 and it doesn't show the fader or rear speaker circuits.
