aftermarket radio

Has anybody put an aftermarket radio on a 1988 Wing? If so, did it mess up anything ? I know the station display won't show up and without rewiring, the cb won't work either. From what I read, the clock display and the air pressure readings still work.
What I'm trying to find out, besides the above, is on the cb, which of the plug pins are: ground, hot (+), and the speaker.I'm going to use a wired remote, which will take the place of the factory handlebar controls, worthless anyway.
By the way, the newer wings, say 93, 94 are wired completely different.
Any info would be appreciated.
