I'm looking to check the coolant level on a 1998 goldwing

Postby donnielama » Sat Jun 09, 2012 10:15 am

I have the original owner’s manual and it has a nice picture on pg 115 but it does not tell me where it is. I've pulled off the side panels found the battery, oil dipstick, back brake fluid res but no COOLANT reserve tank and dipstick. Where is it and how hard is it to get to?
Thanks Don

The top of the coolant reservoir has a dipstick attached to it. It's located right next to the top of the left fork. Carefully remove the left plastic shelter cover and you'll see it.
"It´s a friggen motorcycle, it´s not supposed to be comfortable, quiet or safe. The wind noise is supposed to hurt your ears, the seat should be hard and riding it should make you s**t your pants every now and then. "

Since the left fork moves I could have described that a little better.

If you turn the wheel to the left the cap is almost behind the left fork. So will see it just off the lowered portion of the left shelter cover.
