1997 Goldwing SE Cruise Control lagging

Postby 1bwbob » Mon Jun 11, 2012 9:02 am

When I go to use the cruise control everything is engaging, but when I try to increase the cruise control speed it really lags, could this be a vacuum hose. Or is there something else I should check first. :o

It very well could be.Also there is a check valve in the system that feeds the reserve canister to look at besides leaky control valves ,a plugged filter, and a few old vacuum lines.
Also remember this is a vacuum system, not a electronically controlled throttle motor so a little lag is normal.

There are two sub filters one for cruise control and one for I forget..anyway a PITA to get to but both are foam and dry and crumble and the then screw up intakes..for their systems..I need to change mine too but hate to start tearing into all that plastic and reverse system and, and, and.....
