Lights out

Postby dpmath » Sun Jun 10, 2012 10:11 am

I've done some hardware inspection and found that one fog light is out and one of the amber lights on the rt fork is out. Questions: 1) how do you change those bulbs? 2) can you buy them at an auto parts house? 3) can you put LED into the fog lights? 4) How do you change the amber bulbs. I'm afraid to just start pulling on things.

The amber lights on the forks are aftermarket - so you'll likely just have to open it up, see what's inside it, and get a replacement bulb. I did the same thing with mine, and just replaced them with LEDs instead.

You can replace the cornering lights with LEDs, have a look at How to replace your cornering light bulbs.

Thanks. I did some digging and ordered bulbs for the cornering lights. Still working on the amber fork lights.

The fork lights (bulbs) are just an ordinary type screw in bulb. You should be ably to get them from any hardware or automotive aftermarket store.

Don't forget to take in one of the bulbs that you want to replace as a sample ....... if cheap enough get a couple extra for the next time.
