Has anybody wired the stock honda cb to work without connecting it to the radio? I'm putting in an aftermarket radio and would like to retain the stock cb. I'll probably use a separate speaker if I have to but thats ok. Also, what is the make and model cb honda used on the 88's? Is it a clarion JC-216H-51?. I have a schematic for that model.

With my vast knowledge (NOT), I would only be guessing here, so I recommend you go to the best source to answer that question:

Hi Josua, the Honda CB and radio work together. At the back of the radio are enough connectors and plugs to keep you busy for years.
The Honda CB works through the radio/head speakers in the helmet.

I personally would not try it but .........???

Iv'e done a bit of a search and the CB is a Clarion, so you are more than likely correct with the model number.
