Goldwing 1500 Starter problems

Postby 406sb » Sat Jun 30, 2012 9:57 pm

Im having problem with my goldwing 1500, 96 45,000 miles. The starter stayed engaged and i had to let it die in gear to stall it. since then it just clicks when you try the starter button, i have had the starter taken apart and cleaned and checked, repalced the solenoid next to battery, could it be the solenoid next to brake pedal? or battery just got the battery 1 month ago, tried starting it off a battery charger start mode to avail. still just clicks you can hear the click in the sloenoid. HELP!

Starter maybe shorted out..only way to know for sure is to pull it apart and check for shorts..but if it won't turn over when directly jumped from a good battery..car??? then shorted out is a good bet..
