gl1500 rear speakers

Hi can anyone help me. Am trying to fit rear speakers to my gl1500 . i got a kit ie speakers,fader and harness. Right my prob is i can not find the 4 pin connector to hook up the rear speakers? Any clue where it is

The connector should be under the seat. It will be in a black rubber protector, located on top of the rear fender.

This is a photo of my under seat wiring

Can you identify the part/wiring mentioned -the speaker wires are visible - a white twin wire both sides of the frame. I was amazed how dirty it was under the seat- but it is 24 years old, so probably not surprising.




I think the two unconnected wires are from the towball harness. Any help in pin pointing the fault will be welcome. I think something was disconnected from the wiring before being sold, as there is a 1" round hole in the back of the trunk box and some black tape (which is visible in this photo) which probably covered some wires. Don't know what it was- never met PO as it was sold via a dealer.

By the way- I have wrongly posted the above here- This looked like an answer to my post on a similar but not the same problem, so if that is confusing everyone then sorry. If anyone can identify for me why my rear speakers are not working using the photo above that would be helpfull.
