Low fuel sending unit

More curiosity than anything...does the low fuel sending unit come on the oem fuel pump at time of purchase.....thanks

I wouldn't think so.There is a separate part number for it.I think they cost about $40.
I've replaced my non-functioning one with a float switch(modified obviously) from a honda brake reservoir cap/switch assembly.I get mine for $5 at the junk yard.
I just did this to my gl1200 too.I didn't even know it had one in there,it didn't work either.
