gps to headset

Postby m2102 » Wed Sep 12, 2012 9:54 pm

i read somwhere that explained what the contact points on a 3.5mm male plug were and what they went to. i would like to find out if it is possible to splice into my integrater to hear gps in my headset . i have been looking for a 2.5mm female plug end to go into my cfrg-390c gps line,it has three ports to plug into. the wires are small and has one red and two that look black, one black looks shiney and the other looks flat black. anyone have a suggesstion on what will get me to the end result?

CycleMax has a GPS input harness, p/n CM1024 $60.00, that's plug and play. It fits under the left side fairing pocket and works great. 5 minute installation.

that is certainlly an option baumedagn.the j&m interface i have has a lead coming out to hook up to. i would like to find the cord with the ends on it to just plug into.the set cyclemax has has the 3.5mm male to go to my gps,i just need the one to go to my other end. it has 3 ports and begining to think mite be out dated. if i could find thecolor code for the wires coming out of the angled adaptor i think i can splice into what i have.60$ isn't bad but if it can be done would be better.probablly the best way to get what i need is to buy something else.

That's the same unit that we manufacture and sell right here (click Store above).

Are you sure the 2.5mm jack on your GPS is an audio output?
