Dealer recommendation

Postby godsen » Mon Sep 17, 2012 8:28 pm

So... I've been having this problem of the engine quitting while driving that others have been talking about and I figger it's the bank angle sensor ('90 model year 1500)
Went to my dealer here in BC (Canada for those of you south of the 49th) who of course had to order the part. They called Honda Canada because of the confusion surrounding the correct part number, and were told there are none in Canada and the part would have to be ordered from a dealer in the US (where there are supposedly a hundred, but they refused to order it for us). Sheesh! You'd think they would have a few kicking around considering its a part with a known defect!
Anyway... So now I'm looking for a reliable dealer in the US that can get and send me the part without screwing me on the shipping (sourced a couple of on-line suppliers and they both wanted $35 or more to ship a small $100 part!)
Any recommendations?

Look at Cyclemax: https://www.onlinemicrofiche.com/cyclem ... daMC&A=152

They list it (part number) 06352-MAF-000 for $36.10, and their shipping is always quite reasonable.

Wow! Less than half of the other prices I've seen.
Thx, WingAdmin!

While at dealer for headlight relay I ask about bank angle sensor. They did verified that it had never been changed. Dealer said of those sold in our area of NC it was rare for one to be bad, but it would be replaced for free if it has never been replaced to date.
