I bought this 88 1500 in June. It sat for 2 years without being started. After warm up I have to feather the throttle to get it moving. Even when its at idle sitting still you have to play with the throttle. It seems to run better at higher rpms. I have checked the vacuum lines and run a bottle of sea foam through it. At idle if I pull the front brake lever the rpms drop so low it almost stalls and it takes a few seconds to recover. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Check the air filter, after 2 years there may be a rat nest on it. Try running with gas cap loose. Fuel filter is probably bad too.
