Does any one know of a mountable GPS unit that has an ear phone jack? I know the Garmin Zumo has one but I'm not trying to pay $600 or $700 for one. :) :?: I have a Nuvi that works ok but I just can't hear the spoken directions. :(

i bought a garmin street pilot c550 on ebay for the audio out to be able to hook into my intercomb system.it also goes through my blutooth phone to my headset.for what you are wanting to do a pair of head phones plugged into the gps would fit your needs. they don't make the street pilots any more but you can still purchase a life time maps for them from garmin web site.you can download routes to travel from map quest to the street pilot by selecting the way points option. the price was rite for mine. i got it for 43$ free shipping, had it in about a week. a little tinkering and you can make a way to mount it to your bike.
