strange noise

Postby FUGLY » Mon Oct 22, 2012 1:18 am

Morning all from the UK

right ..yesterday on start up the 1500 made a strange noise . sounded like it was slipping into gear . did it on revving ..she started fine..i gave the throttel a blip and she made the strange noise . am i right thinking it might be the starter motor not disengaging correctly . she shifts through all gears there is no transmission noise .and it has only happend the once ,but its worrying

any advice ???

cheers

could have been starter not engaging .Mine did that twice before I figured it out .Was the reverse lever not all the way down made starter stay on . Solution : don`t use reverse.
