Radiator fluid level?

Post by Davek80514 » Fri Nov 09, 2012 9:55 am

I went to test the coolant, good for -10. But I opened the radiator and the fluid level was down enough I couldn't see it. Is this normal on a cold Goldwing? Last time I had it out it did not run hot or anything near hot. The level in the overflow tank (left side while sitting on the seat) is fine. I'm a little confused.

The fluid should be able to be seen. Mine is. The overflow should have some in it too.

Thanks, I filled the radiator before I left with it.

Did you also fill the overflow to its proper place? After you've ridden for a while, check the levels again to make sure you aren't losing some somewhere.

I've heard you have to use Honda anti-freeze?
I’d rather be Riding my Motorcycle thinking about God
Than sitting in church thinking about my Motorcycle

You don't have to...but it's not that expensive, you don't need that much, and you're pretty much guaranteed it's the right stuff.
