Gl 1500 vacumn line

Post by wingsofgold » Mon Dec 03, 2012 1:46 pm

I have 93 Gl1500I. Just all of a sudden my gas milage was shot and it would smoke out of left side. I took of top cover and all the side tupperware. Found a mouse nest inside on top of air filter cleaned that out and put new air filter in and made a cover to go over the air nozzle so they couldnt get in again. But i had gone ahead and took filter box of down to carbs. Found a vacumn hose that had been chewed in half but only one half was still there. The hose comes from the vacumn advance to a check valve then splits and you have two hoses to hook up. One goes to the bottom of the air filter box and the other one goes to some where on the left front carb. At least thats what my clymer manual said. But i have searched and searched for days to find where it goes on carb. There are two nozzles like sticking out from the vacumn chamber of the carb. I used a fine stiff wire and poke them in but dont think they have any hole in them and they are bigger than the vacumn hose, so it cant be them. My clymer isnt much help. Page 261 item number 5 (number 1pink) Can any one please give me help. I ready to shove my head up the exhaust if that could be done :? :? :o :(

Is there a vacuum line schematic on the fuel tank? My '88 has that and has been a great help in tracing these hoses. Hope this helps.
