Does anyone have a tip or two to remove the throttle cable on a 96 Aspencade without removing the carbs?

Thanx Tennex. I have checked it out and do not see how loosening the adjusters on the throttle cable allows it to be removed from the handle. The 90 deg. piece of solid pipe on this cable is threaded right into the plastic switch housing. I will keep at it. Good day.

I was hoping to find something as I have a lot of play in my cable and no more adjustment..from looking at the throttle I can think of only 2 ways to get the elbow out , either remove the clam shell and unscrew from cable or pull the throttle cable out and unscrew...we are gonna have to seperate the clam shell to install the cables ....one tip I did come across was when ready to remove the cables attach the new cable to the old and that way the cable is in the right place...not much help but good luck.....

Got it. After removing the air cleaner case and the tube joint so I could see, I was able to remove the locknut and with surgical precision use a long hemostat to get the small soldered end out of the throttle drum. Putting the new one in place I believe will prove to be task, but there is no turning back now. Thanks again for your input. Gday.

I haven't removed the old cable yet as I am going to wait untill the newy arrives and use the old one to pull the new one in behind it.
